Modell’s Sporting Goods announced the grand opening of its new store in Washington, DC. The 7,500-square-foot store located in the DC USA retail complex in the Columbia Heights neighborhood will be holding grand opening celebration events starting Thursday, June 9th through Sunday, June 12th.
The new Modell’s store, located at 3100 14th Street NW will mark the retailer’s second location within the District of Columbia.
The ceremonial ribbon cutting will take place Thursday, June 9th at 8am. The first 200 adult customers in line at the new Modell’s in Columbia Heights that morning will each receive a sealed “Mystery Envelope” with a Modell’s Sporting Goods gift card in side. Minimum gift card value will be $25, while 10 lucky customers will receive a $50 gift card and 5 even luckier customers will receive a $100 gift card. The next 100 adult customers in line will each receive a $10 Modell’s cash card.
The retailer operates 147 stores located in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC.
