Mizuno USA, Inc. signed a multi-year endorsement deal to be the official ball glove for Philadelphia Phillies shortstop, Jimmy Rollins. With this signing, Mizuno adds another elite Major League Baseball player to their roster of All-Star caliber talent that includes Brian McCann, Chipper Jones, Carlos Quentin, Matt Cain, and Adam Wainwright.
“Jimmy Rollins has been among the elite baseball players for the past decade and we are excited to have him join our staff,” said Dick Grapenthin, vice president and general manager of the Diamond Division, Mizuno USA. “Our goal at Mizuno is to have the best players in the game using our equipment and supporting our brand, so we are excited for Jimmy Rollins to come on board with Mizuno in 2012.”
Rollins, one of the best all-around shortstops in Major League Baseball, and a three-time National League Gold Glove winner, used a Mizuno ball glove while in high school. He began using a custom-made Mizuno Pro Limited ball glove at the start of the 2012 MLB season. Known as one of the most dynamic players in baseball, Rollins was the 2007 National League Most Valuable Player, a three-time All-Star, and World Series Champion in 2008.
