Mizuno USA is continuing to support the relief efforts of the Japan earthquake and tsunami through an eBay auction of autographed sporting goods memorabilia from their top Brand Ambassadors.

Items include game-used equipment from the brand’s PGA and LPGA Tour Members and Major League Baseball stars.  The auction is currently live on the eBay site, and will run through the summer, with items being added weekly.  The auction link can be accessed through the MizunoUSA.com homepage as well.

The auction includes game and tournament used items, such as PGA Tour Member Luke Donald’s WGC Accenture Match Play Championship Golf Bag, and game used batting gloves from Major League Baseball”s Todd Helton, as well as limited edition commemorative red ball gloves signed by 2010 All Star Game MVP, Brian McCann.

All proceeds will go directly to the Japan Relief Fund for GlobalGiving, a registered 501(c)(3) organization that connects you to the causes and countries you care about.

“The entire Mizuno family has been deeply affected by the tragedy that has occurred throughout Japan,” said Bob Puccini, President Mizuno USA, Inc.  “We certainly appreciate the manner in which our athletes have shown concern as well as action to supporting the reconstruction efforts.  We encourage everyone to join us in supporting the relief efforts of Japan through GlobalGiving and other fine charitable organizations.”

This effort follows acts from Mizuno USA and Mizuno Canada, which raised nearly $38,000 through a matched employee cash donation fundraiser, for the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief.  The companies also contributed nearly $150,000 worth of apparel to Clothes4Souls, an organization that facilitates clothing donations from manufacturers around the world to people who are in desperate need.
