Caroline’s Tips to Make Running (Even More) Fun

Have a running buddy

  • Someone to keep you accountable and encourage you to run
  • This could also be your pet/dog!
  • Having a running buddy is a great safety measure, in case something were to happen

Upgrade your running gear

  • Treat yourself to a new pair of shoes or running tops and bottoms

Shake up your route

  • Don’t always run the same old, doing new routes keeps things interesting
  • Finish in a place like a park or beautiful landmark, this gives you a nice payoff when you finish and a great place to stretch and relax

Update your running playlist on a weekly basis

  • Listening to new music will keep you from getting bored and help you to want to run for a longer period of time
  • Try adding “Intervals” into your workout
  • Staying at the same pace can feel very monotonous
  • Intervals give you a short goal with a great reward

Train for a Race

  • The training runs for a race gives you a sense of accomplishment and goal to work towards
  • This also encourages you to be more accountable and harder to skip a training day

Don’t forget the Sunscreen

  • Make sure you choose a sweat proof lotion
