Mitchell & Ness, the throwback jersey brand owned by Fanatics, has opened a three-story flagship store in its hometown of Philadelphia. The 16,400-square-foot space at 1513 Walnut Street replaces the company’s former retail store at 1306 Walnut Street.
The new store offers 2,200 square feet of team jerseys, including authentic, swingman, and legacy styles, as well as 120 headwear styles. It will also carry expanded collections for women and youth.
Two of the store’s floors are dedicated to retail, while the third serves as an event and gathering space for community programs, sports trading card events and fan experiences.
The new flagship will feature exclusive product launches, customization and guest appearances. It will also host year-round events linked to the city’s largest cultural and sporting events, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the MLB All-Star Game, Wawa Welcome America, and celebrations timed around the United States’ 250th anniversary
“Philadelphia is our home, and this store represents the next chapter of our commitment to the city that built Mitchell & Ness,” said Emilie Arel, company president, in a statement. “While we’ve long had a presence here, this new space allows us to create something bigger, an experience that reflects the full depth of our nearly 125-year legacy at the intersection of sport, culture and fashion.”
Mitchell & Ness has recently earned recognition for its collaborations spanning music, fashion, and street culture, with past partners including Bad Bunny, Mac Miller, Billie Eilish, Playboi Carti, Meek Mill, Levi’s, Aimé Leon Dore, Kith, and BAPE.
Mitchell & Ness was founded in 1904 on Filbert Street in Philadelphia by tennis champion Frank P. Mitchell and golfer Charles M. Ness. Fanatics acquired the brand in 2022.
