Mion Footwear has partnered with kayaking filmmakers to provide paddling enthusasts free on-line access to their films.

Mion has partnered with a division of Effort, Inc. called Rapid Transit, which is a collaboration of kayaking filmmakers who narrowcast their videos on the website www.rapidtransitvideo.com. Mion's sponsorship enables Rapid Transit to allow users to view paddling films free of charge.

The arrangement follows the debut last week of Grand Canyon Adventure, an IMAX film sponsored by water sandal maker Teva.

As one of Rapid Transit's marquee sponsors, Mion will not only receive title sponsorship of Rapid Transit films, but it will also showcase all new Rapid Transit films at www.mionfootwear.com.

“Mion's support of RapidTransitVideo.com is both a natural progression of our ongoing relationship with Effort, Inc., as well a reinforcement of our commitment to encouraging grassroots filmmakers who showcase environmentally engaged amphibious athletes in action on the water around the world,” said Margaret Morey-Reuner, marketing manager for Mion Footwear.

“To date, Mion's brand and product awareness has been successfully heightened as a result of collaboration with the Effort, Inc. properties, including Effort.TV. The launch of Rapid Transit presents an even deeper opportunity for Mion to increase its brand exposure as well as to promote the benefits of whitewater kayaking and grassroots film making.”
