MidwayUSA, the e-commerce retailer for shooting sports, promoted longtime executive Jeff Larkin to president, effective immediately. A 33-year veteran of the company, Larkin will report to Larry Potterfield, founder, chairman of the Board, and CEO

Larkin began his MidwayUSA career as a part-time logistics employee while attending the University of Missouri. After gaining experience outside the company, he returned to MidwayUSA and has since spent over three decades in leadership roles across marketing, customer service and merchandising. He had been VP of Merchandising since September 2022 and was previously VP of Marketing.

MidwayUSA said of Larkin, “His collaborative leadership style and commitment to Continuous Improvement have helped shape MidwayUSA’s culture while developing teams dedicated to operational excellence and Customer satisfaction. Under Larkin’s leadership, MidwayUSA strengthened strategic supplier relationships and significantly enhanced its merchandising capabilities through expanded product offerings, improved product information, and innovative promotional strategies.”

MidwayUSA said Larkin’s contributions “have supported the company’s receipt of three Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Awards, recognizing organizational performance excellence.”

As president, Larkin will oversee all company operations while leading MidwayUSA. He will focus on advancing “continuous improvement, innovation and operational excellence while creating lasting value for customers, employees, suppliers, and the communities MidwayUSA serves.”

Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Columbia, MO, MidwayUSA’s e-commerce platform sells nearly 200,000 products, including ammunition, firearm parts, gunsmithing supplies, and optics.
