Obviouslee, a strategic marketing agency based in Charleston, SC, has announced a merger with Meteorite PR, the Boulder, CO-based firm specializing in outdoor industry public relations.

The company, in a media release, noted that the merger will “strengthen Obviouslee’s market position, broaden its national reach and reinforce its commitment to helping outdoor and active lifestyle brands grow.”

As part of the agreement, Meteorite Founder Eric “Hende” Henderson will join Obviouslee’s executive leadership team as chief outdoor officer.

“Hende is a force of nature, and a rare blend of athlete, brand insider and agency builder,” said Lee Deas, founder and CEO of Obviouslee. “He knows how to turn storytelling into sell-through and has built trusted connections in the outdoor industry. With our combined team, we’re in the right position to fuel outdoor brand growth and help them expand into broader lifestyle spaces.”

Henderson brings decades of experience and deep product and sales expertise to the organization. In his new role, he will help shape all aspects of the combined agency’s work across the outdoor and active lifestyle market.

Meteorite PR will continue to operate from its headquarters in Boulder while fully integrating with Obviouslee’s global team. Meteorite maintains long-standing partnerships with Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Rab, Oberalp Group, Sweet Protection, and Epic Water Filters.

Now in its 20th year, Obviouslee’s outdoor clients include Huk, Bajio Sunglasses, Jones Snowboards, and The Running Event. The merger marks the company’s second investment in the outdoor industry, following its acquisition of Groundswell PR in 2021.
