Merrell opened its The Pack program, created to inspire and increase outdoor activity, for grant participants. As part of the community, Merrell will bring active outside dreams to life through the Pack Project grant recipient program – a fund that supports outdoor-focused individuals and charitable organizations.

“Merrell recognizes that sometimes the smallest awards can make the largest differences,” said Stephanie Ofili, marketing manager at Merrell. “We are giving people the chance to give back and make a real difference in their community through the Pack Project.”

Grants are open to any and all big ideas that inspire an outside active life. For the first five grants, proposals are due no later than August 17th.  For the next five, proposals are due no later than October 17th. Winners will be announced on September 12th and November 5th respectively. Apply at www.merrell.com/thepack.

The Pack Project Grants Program will award grants up to $2,500 that are designed to give individuals and charitable organizations the resources and funding needed to bring their innovation and active ideas to life. This funding opportunity supports pioneering projects and initiatives that result in increased active outdoor participation. Active outdoor recreation includes but is not limited to hiking, biking, paddling, running and general play.
