McNett, the maker of first aid and medical kits, has purchased the entire Gear Aid product line from Adventure Medical Kits. Terms were not disclosed.
Adventure Medical Kits include everything from repair tapes and patches, to sewing supplies, industry specific fabrics, replacement buckles, Seam Grip andfield repair instructions.
“This deal was a match made in heaven,” George Farkas, McNett Product and Marketing Manager stated. “McNett already has the most extensive care and repair product line in the industry and the addition of the Gear Aid kits tremendously broadens our field repair kit line.”
McNett is currently shipping the 2009 Gear Aid line and is working on improvements to the kits, kit contents and instructions for launch in January 2010.
“We’re working now on significant refinements to every aspect of the kits and are looking forward to introducing the complete new line at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in January,” said Farkas. “Utmost in our minds is to make sure every component is top quality to ensure a terrific consumer experience.”
The newest addition to the ReviveX line, ReviveX Air Dry Water Repellent, is designed to create instant water repellency on outerwear, footwear and gear. In the angling category, McNett’s new Aquaseal UV Ultraviolet Cure Adhesive is a wader repair product.
McNett's brands include ReviveX, Aquaseal, Seam Grip, Freesole and Aquamira.
