McDavid, a maker of sports medicine and protective sports products, has been named the exclusive distributor for Uhlsport, a leading European soccer brand and Kempa, the leading handball brand.
Uhlsport and Kempa have strong market penetration in Europe, but both were looking to strengthen their position in Japan and have turned to McDavid Japan to help increase their distribution in that market.
“Both of these performance brands were looking to expand their presence in Japan and with the strong global presence that McDavid enjoys, were delighted they see McDavid as a solution for distribution,” said Bob McDavid, president of McDavid. “Our product line has been very successful in Japan and we see this as a terrific opportunity for not only Uhlsport and Kempa but also for the continued growth of McDavid Japan.”
Uhlsport is a leading maker of soccer equipment for all aspects of the game – from footwear to goalie equipment, shingaurds, bags and balls. Kempa is the go-to source for handball equipment ranging from footwear, pads, balls, apparel and accessories.

McDavid Japan will begin distributing both brands in Japan immediately.
