Marmots Vice President of Sales Roanne Miller was voted onto the American Alpine Clubs Board of Directors in February for a three-year term.
Miller began her career with Marmot in 1997 as a visual merchandiser and later became the companys Director of Business Development and National Sales Manager. She has also remained an active climber and skier through the years, serving as an athlete for the brand since 1997. In 2007, Milller was appointed to Marmots VP of Sales.
Jim Donini, who just completed his term as President of the American Alpine Club, said, “Roanne Miller is an excellent selection for our board of directors. She understands climbers sensibilities and brings creative solutions to the table and a professional acumen that can help broaden the AACs reach as an international organization.”
“I hope to bridge to the gap between the outdoor and climbing community to building corporate sponsorship – focusing on creative, sustainable development to grow the AAC,” said Miller. “I hope that my experiences in business and years in the mountains can help continue to build the AAC into an even greater organization.”
