Marmot Mountain, LLC (Marmot) has become the newest member of the Conservation Alliance, a group of outdoor companies that has contributed more than $9.5 million to grassroots environmental groups since its inception in 1989.

Alliance funding has helped save over 50.5 million acres of wildlands; 28 dams have either been stopped or removed; and the group helped preserve access to more than 18,500 miles of waterways and several climbing areas.

Founded in 1974, Marmot is now owned by Jarden Corp.'s Outdoor Solutions segment, which includes many leading outdoor and team sporting goods brands.

“We’re extremely proud to be partnering with The Conservation Alliance,” said Jordan Campbell, Marmot’s public relations manager. “The Conservation Alliance has done so much through its funding of local, grassroots organizations working to protect and preserve our last wild spaces.  Becoming a new member demonstrates our commitment to environmental stewardship and outdoor recreation,” he adds.
