The Marketing Manager – Sportswear will own the strategy development and implementation for Mossy Oak Apparel’s Elements (sportswear) business. Responsibilities include product line direction as contained in semi-annual “marketing briefs”, planning and implementation of marketing mix elements, and budget management to ensure delivery of assigned business sales, income, and market share goals. Position will also have functional responsibility for pieces of the marketing mix across product lines (Mossy Oak Hunting as well as Elements).


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Marketing Manager (Sportswear) is responsible for Mossy Oak Sportswear results. The success of MOAC in the this line will be driven primarily by the following responsibilities:

  • Based on expert knowledge and an ability to quickly learn a marketplace and apply solid business principles, build strategic marketing plans to grow the sportswear business within a competitive market.
  • Conduct long-term planning of complex, strategic, and major marketing programs.
  • Forecast business opportunities and internal response to ensure continued growth and success of the business.
  • Lead all pieces of the marketing mix for sportswear. This will include, but is not limited to, marketing communications, product attributes, promotional and merchandising opportunities, etc.
  • Manage select elements of the marketing mix for other Mossy Oak Apparel lines. It will be necessary to have responsibility for functional pieces of the mix across product lines, but all within Mossy Oak Apparel (TBD, but examples include, advertising, sales support materials, web marketing, PR, etc).
  • Working with sales, drive the growth of additional dealer representation and/or alternative methods of distribution for the sportswear line.


EDUCATION:

  • BS in Marketing or other business discipline, or art/apparel/creative degree.
  • Masters in Marketing or business, or the equivalent directly related work experience.


EXPERIENCE:

  • 7 to 10 years of demonstrated success in marketing (advertising, promotions, communications, in-store merchandising, sales, etc).
  • 4 to 6 years of direct experience in apparel marketing, preferably sportswear or closely related lines in the outdoor industry.
  • Preferably outdoor industry and retail sales experience.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

Base of +/- $90,000 depending on experience; 15% (target) to 30% (maximum) bonus.
