The National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) announces shooting industry veteran Mark Kresser has been selected as the organization's new president.

The announcement came from Michael Brown, Chairman of the Board for NASGW and President of Camfour, Inc., a wholesaler of firearms and hunting/shooting supplies.

Kresser will take the reins at NASGW effective January 1, 2010. He comes to this new post with many years of related industry experience, most recently as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing with leading firearm manufacturer O.F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc. His wealth of experience also includes top management responsibilities with renowned manufacturer Sig Arms. In addition to his experience, Kresser will bring to NASGW his support for and steadfast commitment to the organization's members, the two-step distribution process and shooting sports in general.

“Mark is well known and highly regarded throughout the shooting and hunting industry,” said Brown. “He's a creative, intelligent man who knows guns and shooting and understands the unique challenges our businesses face. Just as importantly, he's the type of a guy that people truly enjoy being around and working with. I'm confident Mark will be eagerly welcomed by members and manufacturers alike, and will help lead our association to a new level,” added Brown.

“We've seen firsthand Mark's energy, knowledge and commitment to improving our industry,” added Tracy Kolojeski, NASGW Director of Operations. “It's obvious to us that Mark is ready to get to work and make a difference. The staff of NASGW is eager to work with him – we're looking forward to a great 2010 all the way around,” Kolojeski added.  Kresser and Kolojeski will be representing NASGW at the 2010 SHOT Show, January 19-22 in Las Vegas where the association is sponsoring the keynote speaker at the 2010 SHOT Show University. This will be an excellent opportunity for NASGW members and the industry as a whole to meet Kresser in his new role and discuss his vision and future plans for their association. “I'm honored to accept this great challenge, and am looking forward to talking with you, listening to you and working with you as we begin an exciting new year,” said Kresser.
