Mad Dogg Athletics, Inc. (MDA) announced that Aerin Shaw, formerly at Nike and Walt Disney, has been named chief operating officer. Mad Dogg Athletics is continuing to strengthen its senior management team to keep up with the significant growth in its portfolio of fitness brands which includes Spinning, Peak Pilates, CrossCore, Bodyblade, Ugi, and Resist-A-Ball.

“We're thrilled to have Aerin aboard during this exciting period of growth for the company,” says John Baudhuin, Mad Dogg Athletics CEO. “She brings with her a vast amount of experience from some of the world's most well-known brands, and she will play an integral role in the future of Mad Dogg Athletics.”

Aerin joins MDA with a wealth of knowledge in the Sports and Fitness industry and significant experience in Fortune 500 companies as well as entrepreneurial ventures. Early in her career, she worked in major advertising agencies in New York City including Grey Advertising and McCann-Erickson. From there she became VP of Marketing for the Bulova Watch Company, and later was recruited to Nike, where she helped to lead the Nike Equipment Division. Following her tenure in Equipment, she was chosen to manage the $1.6 billion Global Running Footwear division for the company.

The Walt Disney Company recruited Aerin as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, where she helped to grow the Consumer Products division to over $3 billion in revenues. She also has recent entrepreneurial experience as a principal in a technology start-up, a software development agency, and a private equity company focused on consumer brands.
