Vail Resorts, Inc. Chair and CEO Rob Katz continues to rebuild the company’s senior team, adding Celeste Burgoyne, the current president of the Americas and global guest innovation for Lululemon Athletica, Inc. Burgoyne will assume her new role as EVP and chief revenue officer at Vail Resorts, Inc., effective January 26, 2026.

“Burgoyne will oversee Vail Resorts’ marketing function, lead all aspects of the guest journey and digital experience, and be directly responsible for the majority of the company’s revenue,” the company said in a media release.

“It is an honour to join Vail Resorts, not just because of the respect I have for Rob, the management team, and this incredible business, which has so much opportunity ahead, but also because of the passion that my family and I have for the experience it provides,” said Burgoyne. “I have spent countless days enjoying Whistler Blackcomb, in both the summer and winter, so I know firsthand what the company’s mission of Experience of a Lifetime means to skiers, snowboarders, and all their guests.

At Lululemon, Burgoyne  oversees all channel and customer-facing aspects of the company’s North American business, including e-commerce, customer relationship management, marketing, retail store experience, and real estate, and is directly responsible for over $7.5 billion in revenue. She also reportedly leads global guest experience innovation at Lululemon and recently launched the company’s membership program.

“We are thrilled to welcome Celeste, a proven business leader with a long track record of driving growth and long-term guest loyalty at Lululemon,” offered Katz. “Celeste’s deep appreciation for the connection between brand, guest experience, and revenue will be critical as we continue to reimagine how we connect with our guests, reignite our resort brands, and accelerate growth in both lift revenue and our ancillary lines of business.”

Burgoyne will be based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Late last week, Lululemon shared that Burgoyne had decided to leave the company for a new opportunity outside of the industry. André Maestrini, previously EVP of International, assumes her role as president and chief commercial officer. Burgoyne is expected to remain with Lululemon until the end of December 2025 to ensure a smooth transition.

LULU said Burgoyne joined the company in 2006 as the first general manager of the U.S. business when there were fewer than 10 stores, and was named the company’s first president in 2020. Lululemon said that throughout her tenure, she has assumed roles of increasing responsibility and led the North America business through periods of rapid growth and expansion. From there, she reportedly played a key role in scaling the business and building the brand to over 750 stores with $10 billion in global revenue.

Prior to Lululemon, Burgoyne spent 10 years at Abercrombie & Fitch during a time of significant growth.

Her pending exit comes as Lululemon’s American region has seen sluggish sales. Comps in the Americas region in the second quarter were down 4 percent, or 3 percent on a constant-currency basis.

“We are grateful for Celeste’s leadership and significant contributions to Lululemon’s business and culture over the past 19 years. She has been instrumental in growing our footprint in the Americas, creating high-quality guest experiences, and mentoring our teams across the organization,” said Calvin McDonald, chief executive officer at Lululemon. “I deeply appreciate her partnership and friendship, and we wish her all the best in the future.”

“My time at Lululemon has been both inspiring and rewarding beyond belief,” said Burgoyne. “I am so proud of what we have accomplished as an organization since I joined in 2006 and know the team will take the company to even greater heights in the years to come. I look forward to continuing to support the brand as a lifelong fan.”

In conjunction with this Burgoyne’s move, Lululemon has decided to consolidate regional leadership across the company and appoint André Maestrini as president and chief commercial officer, effective immediately. Maestrini will continue to report directly to McDonald.

In this newly created role, Maestrini will provide integrated oversight of all Lululemon’s regions, stores and digital channels globally. He will also oversee Lululemon’s global commercial strategy, with a focus on continued market expansion, revenue generation, and accelerating the sharing of best practices across all regions, including North America.

Maestrini joined Lululemon in 2021 as executive vice president of international. In his current role, he has overseen Lululemon’s operations in EMEA, APAC and China Mainland, and has helped to more than quadruple the brand’s international revenues.

“André has demonstrated a proven ability to unlock opportunities, advance our global expansion, and deliver growth across multiple markets,” said McDonald. “Leveraging operational discipline, deep guest insights, and extensive brand-building experience, André is the ideal person to lead our business across all markets, including North America, as we remain focused on delivering value for our guests, employees, and shareholders.”

Before joining the company, Maestrini spent 14 years at Adidas in various senior roles worldwide. During this time, he served in several general manager roles, helping grow the company’s global sports categories and regional markets. His last role at Adidas was as global GM of Adidas Sport. Prior to Adidas, Maestrini held marketing roles at The Coca-Cola Company, Danone and Kraft Jacobs Suchard.
