Lowa will be featuring their 2012-2013 new winter boots at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market trade show in Salt Lake City.

The boots are designed for active cold-weather use including snowshoeing, winter walking and hiking or après sport.  Three new fashion models feature Lowa’s lower profile Monowrap® frame for increased stability and support as well as the light, low women’s-specific AL-S ll sole construction that protects the foot in snow and slush.  The new Baikal GTX ll G3 is designed with Lowa’s proven G3 Sole that increases grip up to 32 percent over other kinds of material combinations.

The Tirolina GTX Mid is LOWA’s high fashion, new lace-up boot for women only.  For increased leg warmth, the Turkish shearling cuff can be folded up or down, depending on personal preference.  The Caldera GTX has a two-button closure that adds warmth as well as a fashion element. Both models have women’s-lasted uppers made from suede leather with a Gore-Tex® lining for waterproofing and Partalana wool/polyester blend fleece for insulation.

The suede and brushed Cordura® tall zip-up Selva GTX is designed to look good on snow or over jeans on the street. Gore-Tex® Partalana wool/polyester blend fleece lining keeps boots warm, waterproof and comfortable.  The zipper and the gussets are both waterproof.
Lowa’s new Baikal ll GTX G3 multi-purpose, trekking style winter boot is constructed of buffalo Nubuck and features a Gore-Tex® lining insulated with Partalana fleece.  Lowa’s slip-resistant G3 sole with an SPS/PU midsole provides maximum grip and traction on snow and ice.

Peter Sachs, general manager for Lowa, describes it as “skid pads and snow tires for your feet.”  A combination of soft rubber lugs and proprietary textile increases grip by up to 32 percent over other kinds of material combinations.  The large stud pattern follows the natural line of foot motion with a minimum of one stud in contact with the ground at all times during the roll-off motion.  This improves stability on snow and ice.  Available for both men and women.
