LOWA Boots U.S., headed by Peter Sachs, has acquired distribution rights to X-Socks, an Italian sock and base layer brand. The company plans on marketing the socks in the outdoor, hunting, biking, golf, and military markets, while the base layers will be sold into the skiing, biking, winter hiking, and climbing markets. LOWA is currently active with its existing footwear line in most of these markets and is expecting built-in synergy between the two brands.
“Many of the stories well use in explaining X-Socks to our customers are those that weve used for years to talk about with Lowa,” commented Sachs in a prepared statement.
