Lotto Gets Boost from Addition of Brazil Licensee

Lotto Sport Italia S.p.A closed 2007 with total sales of €300 million ($411 million), an 8% increase over their 2006 results. Driving this growth was Lotto Sport Italia’s’ new licensing agreement with Filon Confecções Ltda. of Brazil.  Brazil has already proven to be a high potential market for Lotto, with the supplier sponsoring four first division soccer teams including the Sport Recife squad, champions of the 2008 Brazil Cup.

On a regional basis, Lotto reported sales to the Americas of approximately $57.5 million; sales to Italy of $98.4 million with all of Europe at $164.4 million; Asia Pacific at $65.8 million; Africa at $12.3 million; and the Middle East at $12.3 million.

Lotto, which acquired Etonic Worldwide in early 2006, reported growth in all product categories. Footwear accounted for sales of $176.7 million with 10% growth compared to 2006, while clothing accounted for sales of $197.3 million, growing 6%, and accessories for $24.7 million, growing 21%.
