Life Time has become an official sponsor of the Ironman and Ironman 70.3 U.S. series and will  expand its endurance coaching and training programs to Ironman athletes at all 112 of its fitness centers in the United States and Canada in bid to promote the growth of triathlon and welcome new athletes into the sport.

As an  official sponsor, Life Times 13 sprint and international distance triathlons will now be contributors to the Ironman Age Group Ranking and Ironman All World Athlete programs.

“Today, we produce one of the nations premier triathlon series and provide specialized triathlon training programs and clinics,” said Life Time Chairman, President and CEO Bahram Akradi. “Through our combined efforts, we will advance the mutual respect and passion we all have for this sport.

Life Time has invested in the growth of triathlon for more than a decade. Its Starting Line 101 Clinics and Indoor Tri events, for instance, are geared toward preparing athletes of all fitness levels for triathlons. Registration for the 2015 Life Time Tri Series will open Nov. 4, 2014.

Ironman has grown from a single race to  more than 190 events across five unique brands: Ironman , Ironman  70.3, 5150 Triathlon Series, Iron Girl  and Ironkids .
