Liberty Safe and Security Products has acquired 9g Products, a U.S. manufacturer of patented Biometric handgun vaults, marking the first investment by Compass Diversified Holdings Inc.'s Branded Products segment since the publicly traded investment company divested its control of Fox Factory Holdings Co.

With the purchase of 9g, Liberty will have a Biometric option as part of their upcoming Home Defender Series (HD Series) of handgun vaults.

“We are excited to be able to offer this solution to our customers,” said President and CEO of Liberty Safe Kim Waddoups.  “We feel like we can make a real difference in the handgun storage market by offering a more secure, higher quality family of products. Quality Biometrics are in demand, and 9g makes the most accurate and reliable Biometrics in the business.”

Currently, 9g offers 2 vaults; the Micro and Multi vaults, with both vaults offering excellent security with access in under 1-second. Within the coming weeks, the 9g Micro-vault will be transitioned to the Liberty HDX-150, while the larger Multi-vault will be the Liberty HDX-250. With the branding change, there will be some additional security feature upgrades, as well as updated colors, design, and packaging. Both vaults are covered by a 5-year manufacturer's warranty.

Liberty Safe is controlled by Compass Diversified Holdings Inc., which also controls CamelBak, ErgoBaby and owns a major stake in Fox Factory Holding Corp.
