Hot Chillys hired Steve Lee as the company’s new Vice President of Sales. Drawing upon his 15-year tenure in the outdoor and snowsports industries, Steve will provide leadership and guidance in making the company’s sales operations more efficient. Steve will report directly to Guy Wells, the President of Hot Chillys.

In his new post, Steve will be heavily involved in all sales operations, setting pricing, sales programs and overseeing the direction of the product line. He also is charged with bringing more technology, sales tools and planning to both the sales and customer service departments.

Steve comes to Hot Chillys from his principal position at The Blue Sky Group. Steve Lee and Fred Riley started The Blue Sky Group sales agency over 10 years ago. The Blue Sky Group represents ski, snowboard, outdoor and action sports brands in the California, Arizona and Nevada territory. While with Blue Sky, Steve represented Hot Chillys for more than nine years.

“We are very excited to have Steve join the Hot Chillys team,” says Hot Chillys President Guy Wells. “Steve combines strong analytical skills with an ability to establish and execute a plan for success in areas where we are looking for his particular expertise. Product direction, sales programs, interface with customers, sales tools and information access are all areas where we see Steve making a big impact.”

Steve has a strong awareness of the current retail environment and all of the specific market categories that Hot Chillys excels in. All of this will be applied in the coming seasons to strengthen the entire assortment of products that will make up the Hot Chillys product line.

“Hot Chillys is a very fun brand with great products, and I am really excited to join the Hot Chillys organization,” Steve says. “I see us bringing a lot more great products and services to our retailers in the coming seasons. I enjoy both the relationship and operational sides of the sales process and see so much opportunity at Hot Chillys. My hope is to make us an even more efficient, more reliable and fun company to work with.”

Hot Chillys has led the performance apparel industry for two decades with moisture managing base layer technology.
