Le Coq Sportif appointed Rodolphe Salasca, who formerly worked in Europe for Boardriders, Vans and Nike, as chief commercial officer.
Salasca announced his hire on LinkedIn, stating that he officially joined the company in July. The French brand was also acquired in July out of receivership by a group led by Franco-Swiss entrepreneur Dan Mamane.
Previously, Salasca served as VP of Sales, EMEA, at Boardriders Group from April 2022 to March 2024. Prior to that, he worked for VF Corp. for just over eight years, most recently serving as VP of Sales for Vans EMEA. Prior roles include managing director, France for Le Coq Sportif and category GM, Nike Sportswear, EMEA.
Salasca wrote in the post, “My mission is to lead the brand’s global commercial strategy, accelerating its international growth and strategic repositioning while supporting merchandising function to reshape a product offer that connects people back with culture and style and make Le Coq Sportif the cultural and athletic voice of a new generation.
“After years contributing to global powerhouses such as Nike, Vans, Boardriders and Procter & Gamble, I’ve learned that sustainable success comes from one clear principle: creating value while staying true to brand DNA, people and purpose.
“I’m excited to partner with passionate teams and visionary minds to write the next chapter of this incredible French story. One built on authenticity, creativity and ambition. ”
