Sales revenue for the Lafuma Group in the first half of fiscal 2011/12 increased 8 percen to €132.1 million as strong growth of its outdoor brands and in Asia more than offset a decline at its action sports business and flat sales at its equestrian business.

Sales per division and brand in millions of euros were:

  • Great Outdoor – Lafuma:  has confirmed its return to growth, with an increase of 10.9 percent to €47.0 million. The division benefited from marked success in camping furniture (+17 percent) and Lafuma export growth (+20%) in Northern Europe and Asia.
  • Board-sports – Oxbow: Sales fell 9.7 percent to €27.1 million. In the context of tighter board sports market trends, sales improved over the second half of the fiscal year driven by the solid performances achieved in the retail store network (+10 percent), confirming the stronghold of the Oxbow brand.
  • Country – Le Chameau: Sales increased 1.1 percent to  €9.7 million. With a strong order book for all product ranges, sales growth under the Le Chameau brand should be higher over the second half of the fiscal year.
  • Mountain – Millet and Eider: increased sales 19.8 percent to €48.2 million, include 26 percent growth at Millet and 19.8 percent in international business.

International sales for the Group increased 15.8 percent led by 50 percent growth in Asia.
