La Sportiva inked an agreement with Boulder-based Colorado Mountain School (CMS), to be the official footwear provider of the world-renowned guide service.

Effective immediately, CMS guides will wear La Sportiva footwear while guiding clients through recreation areas in Colorado such as Rocky Mountain National Park.

“Our team of top notch guides have always reached for La Sportiva products for both their guide work and in their personal pursuits,” says Russell Hunter, owner of Colorado Mountain School. “After all these years, we’re delighted to have an agreement that allows us to share what we know about La Sportiva with the numerous clients that we interact with. It benefits our staff, our clients and will further solidify La Sportiva as the brand of choice in the mountains.”

Colorado Mountain School is a professional climbing guide service with a long and rich history in Colorado and in the surrounding areas. CMS, under various names, has been guiding continuously in Colorado since 1877. In 2016, Russell Hunter, a long-time CMS guide, purchased the Colorado Mountain School. The mission of the school is to ignite passion living through mountain education and adventure. From courses and climbs to international trips, Colorado Mountain School is developing competent mountain adventurers.

According to Jonathan Degenhardt, marketing director at La Sportiva N.A., “We’ve always had great respect for Colorado Mountain School, their team of guides, and the beautiful places that they work each day. While we know that many of them chose to wear La Sportiva, it feels even better knowing that their whole team will be working in our products and providing incredible experiences to their clients from all over the world.”
