L.A. Gear announced the launch of its Kid's category and kicks off with two styles dubbed the Liquid Gold L.A. Lights and Liquid Berry L.A. Lights. This exciting release will be in stores this Friday, August 14th, at select Shiekh Shoes locations and www.ShiekhShoes.com.

Originally launched in 1991, the kids division was among the brand's most successful, famous not only for its fresh looks, but for pioneering the famed “Lighted” shoes. Now, L.A. Gear continues that legacy by re-introducing this category with even bolder styles fitting for the daring and envelope-pushing fashions of today.

These show stopping shoes integrate the infamous L.A. Lights design and adopt their aesthetics from the comeback shoe collaboration, recently released this past Spring, with Creative Consultant and multi-platinum recording artist Tyga. Paying homage to a classic style, these “Light Ups” take you on a nostalgic journey, while keeping the fun in fashion. They feature light up bottoms and are enveloped in a beaming metallic gold or pink material giving the shoes a glistening “liquid look.”

L.A. Gear’s Lance Jackson said, “L.A. Gear was the first brand to incorporate lights into its footwear, so we couldn’t be more excited to be relaunching one of the most iconic lighted kids styles for Back-to-School. Over the years, kids shoes with lights have become a really important and fun feature. Given the success of Tyga’s Liquid Gold L.A. Lights shoe, we wanted to make this style in boys sizes and a fun Liquid Berry color in girls sizes.”

Just in time for back to school, the Liquid Gold and Liquid Berry L.A. Lights will be available in infant and children sizes 5-10 ($34.99), 11-3 ($39.99) and 4-7 ($44.99).
