Korkers Products, LLC has filed a patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for an updated version of the outdoor footwear company’s Interchangeable Outsole System.

Korkers has designed a new version of its OmniTrax Interchangeable Outsole System, which dramatically improves the use of the system, which provides a variety of traction options for shoes, so no outdoors spot is out of reach, while allowing the product to become sleeker and lower profile.

“This new, updated technology allows Korkers to expand into markets beyond those that we are currently serving in fly fishing and winter boots,” said Sean Beers, CEO of Korkers.  “Adaptable traction technology is in its infancy and opportunities abound. This latest version of the OmniTrax Interchangeable Outsole System will help Korkers establish itself in the broader footwear market as a leader in innovation and technology.”

The new patent builds upon over a decade of patents submitted by the company. Executives at Korkers plan on continuing its efforts of using technology to solve problems for end users.

Since 1959, Korkers has created functional and versatile footwear for outdoor adventurers. Unique to the industry, Korkers' proprietary OmniTrax Interchangeable Sole System provides a variety of performance traction options-from felt to sticky rubber-so no outdoor spot is out of reach. Based in Portland, OR, the company's team of avid fishing and outdoor enthusiasts are dedicated to developing product solutions that combine design advances with innovative technology.
