Kopilot.ID, the NFC-enabled digital emergency ID platform that keeps critical information connected to the gear athletes and adventurers already use, has hired outdoor industry veterans Brook Hopper and Jake Martin to support the brand’s next growth phase across communications, content, partnerships, athlete programs, sell-in strategy, and industry outreach.
Kopilot.ID was co-founded by Justin Bradshaw and Mark Roebke, the entrepreneurs behind Rever, the motorcycle navigation and community platform. With Kopilot.ID, Bradshaw and Roebke said they are “applying that same community-first, technology-driven approach to emergency ID, making critical information easier to access from the gear athletes and riders already use.”
Brook Hopper reportedly bringsover 20 years of experience across brand strategy, go-to-market, communications, public relations, partnerships, retail, athlete and ambassador programs. Most recently, she served as director of marketing at Katadyn North America. Her background also includes leadership roles at Manitobah, A New Earth Project, Liv Cycling, 1% for the Planet, and The North Face.
At Kopilot.ID, Hopper is expected to lead brand strategy, communications, content, creative direction and messaging, helping build a cohesive brand system while shaping athlete, ambassador and community storytelling across every touchpoint.
“Yes, Kopilot.ID is for the athlete, rider, skier, runner or climber wearing the tag,” Hopper offered. “But it is also for the people who love them and the people who may need to help. The tag makes critical information easier to access. The bigger promise is peace of mind and a clearer way to act when it matters most.”
Jake Martin also reportedly brings more than 20 years of experience driving commercial growth, brand strategy and strategic partnerships across the outdoor and action sports industries. The company said his career includes leadership roles with Patagonia, The North Face, Quiksilver and Red Bull, where he has developed go-to-market strategies, built strategic partnerships, launched products and led integrated initiatives that connect brands, athletes, retailers and consumers.
Most recently, Martin spent five years at Red Bull leading athlete marketing across action sports and Olympic disciplines, developing partnerships and cross-functional programs that supported brand growth, consumer engagement and commercial objectives. Earlier in his career, he led global product marketing at Patagonia, managed The North Face’s Summit Series product line and held marketing leadership positions at Quiksilver, helping drive product strategy and commercial growth for some of the outdoor industry’s most recognized brands.
At Kopilot.ID, Martin is expected to lead commercial strategy focused on business development, strategic partnerships, product integration, retail strategy and channel growth, while helping build the company’s athlete partnership and ambassador programs across the outdoor, snow, cycling, moto, hunting and endurance markets.
Hopper and Martin join a team that includes Blake Draguesku, who is reported to have over 10 years of experience in the outdoor industry and has worked with the founders across Rever and Kopilot.ID, helping lead content, digital strategy and partnership activation.
“Kopilot.ID is simple to use, but the opportunity behind it is big,” said Mark Roebke, co-founder of Kopilot.ID, in a media release announcing the new hires. “The product has to work in real conditions, the technology has to be intuitive and the brand has to earn trust in the communities where it matters. Brook and Jake understand how to build that trust.”
