Kohl’s Corp. in a regulatory filing said that it will postpone its Investor Day planned for Monday, March 16, as a coronavirus precaution. The retailer also noted that certain categories were “most affected by the virus” although it didn’t identify those categories.

The full statement reads, “Kohl’s Corporation previously announced plans to host a webcast Investor Day on March 16, 2020.  As the spread of COVID-19 has continued, the company believes it is most important to prioritize the immediate safety and well-being of its customers and associates and the day-to-day operations of the business.  As a result, the company has decided to postpone its Investor Day for the time being and will look to reschedule in the future.

“The company also noted that it has recently experienced a softening in customer demand particularly in those areas most affected by the virus. However, the company has not seen an impact on digital demand. The company is maintaining its strong focus on expense management and cost control while leveraging the strength of its balance sheet.”
