Klutch Athletics, a brand founded by sports agent Rich Paul in partnership with New Balance, has hired long-time Nike executive Scott Munson as president and general manager.

Munson left Nike in September after more than 28 years with the company. His last role was VP/GM, Asia Pacific Latin America men’s business. Other roles at Nike included global vice president, men’s basketball; global vice president, consumer and market research; and global vice president, football (soccer) apparel.

“We’re excited to welcome Scott to the Klutch Athletics team,” said Paul, CEO of Klutch Athletics. “Throughout his career, Scott has led large cross-functional teams, managed billion-dollar businesses, and driven innovation in both the performance and lifestyle categories, and he did it on a global scale.”

“I’m honored to join Klutch Athletics at such a pivotal moment,” Munson said. “The brand is redefining what it means to empower the next generation of athletes to be their best, and I look forward to working with Rich and the entire team to build a brand that creates intentional product, builds meaningful community, and delivers inspiring experiences—in sport and in life.”

Launched two years ago with New Balance, Klutch Athletics manufactures activewear and has launched a co-branded New Balance footwear range. Its roster of ambassadors includes the NFL’s Will Anderson, Jr. (Houston Texans) and Chase Young (New Orleans Saints), and three basketball NIL athletes Aaliyah Crump (University of Texas), Caleb Wilson (University of North Carolina) and Isiah Harwell (University of Houston).
