Katadyn North America announced it had promoted Chris Voxland to company president. An outdoor industry veteran with more than two decades working at Katadyn, and most recently in the role of vice president, Operations, Voxland will further the brand’s objective to build product lines and manage sustainable growth across all markets.

“This is an exciting time in our company’s history as we have strategically placed an emphasis on expanding our reach to new channels, new demographics and new markets,” said Voxland. “I value the many years of partnership with Shawn, and I wish him the best in the future. I look forward to working closely with our team to continue our passion to serve our customers and keep Katadyn a special workplace.”

Voxland succeeds Shawn Hostetter, who left Katadyn after a 20-year career with the brand to pursue an opportunity in the sporting goods industry and to be closer to family.

Katadyn North America also announced the promotion of John Wright to vice president, Sales. A member of Katadyn’s sales force since 2016, he will “help to support the leadership transition” and drive sales strategy. Before working at Katadyn NA, Wright worked for outdoor brands, including Slumberjack, Filson and Wisconsin Pharmacal.

“Chris and John are an ideal team to move Katadyn forward in its goals of calculated growth, reduced environmental impact and continuing humanitarian aid,” said Shawn Hostetter, former president, Katadyn NA. “Chris brings years of top-notch organizational leadership and operational excellence. John provides in-depth sales experience and a deep understanding of outdoor markets. This is a seasoned team of operational and sales rockstars who work well together and have for years. I’m looking forward to seeing Katadyn North America’s upward trajectory continue under their guidance.”
