Kappa, owned by BasicNet, appointed Rémi Garnier, formerly country manager at Kappa France, to lead its commercial operations.

The French executive has spent the past fifteen years developing the Italian sportswear brand in France. He reports to Federico Trono, who assumed the role of Kappa’s general manager in the spring.

In charge of the French market since 2023, Garnier joined the brand in 2010, when it was under development by Sport Finance, Kappa’s licensee in France. BasicNet bought its French operations back in-house in 2019.

Kappa is the largest contributor to sales volume within the Boglione family’s BasicNet group, which also includes K-Way, Superga and Sebago.
