K2 Snowboarding has finalized a deal making it the presenting sponsorship of MGT Snowboard Camp. Catering to female shredders, MGT is based out of Western Canada, with camps offered in British Columbia and Alberta throughout the winter and summer seasons. MGT specializes in park, pipe and freeriding and provides young women the opportunity to ride and learn from top female snowboarders from around the globe.

“I’m super stoked to have K2 support the camp this season,” said MGT camp director, Joanna Majcherkiewiez. “MGT stands for More Good Times and our goal is to promote the fun of snowboarding as well as progress female riding by providing strong female role models. Our campers ride with top athletes they see in the snowboarding media and who they may not otherwise get to interact with.

“MGT campers see their coaches throw tricks, slam, exchange stories and provide advice. We have found that this interaction reignites a girls’ stoke on snowboarding and builds confidence that transgresses snowboarding. K2’s Women’s Alliance initiative and their strong female pro team provide synergy between our programs. This partnership will be great and Im stoked for the season ahead.”

“Working with MGT is a perfect fit for us. We take our women’s program very seriously and we want to do all we can to push the progression of women in snowboarding, whether they are just out there having fun or looking to take their riding to a professional level. On top of that, K2 Pro, Leanne Pelosi, is a major part of MGT and we back her 100% with this project,” said Danielle Hambleton, K2 Snowboarding Marketing Manager and Alliance Project Manager. “With women’s specific product innovations in every category, the creation of the K2 Alliance Team, in addition to partnerships with MGT Snowboard Camp and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, K2 Snowboarding puts women in a class of their own.”
