K2 Snowboarding has named Maxx von Marbod as national sales manager. No stranger to the industry, von Marbod brings more than 20 years of experience in snowsports and action sports to K2.

Maxx brings great experience, a passion for snowboarding, and deep ties within the community that make him a great fit for K2, said Ben Wallace, US VP of Sales for K2 Sports. Its an important addition to our sales division to have somebody dedicated 100-percent to the sales of K2 snowboards. This focus, and Maxxs great reputation within the industry, will no doubt provide an immediate impact to K2 and our customers.

Taking the reins as national sales manager, von Marbod will lead and direct all facets of K2s domestic sales program. From developing and executing sales strategy, campaign ideation, and growing strong retailer relations, von Marbod will continue to instill superior sales service and authentic brand representation while working closely with sales reps and shops.

With more than 20 years of experience in the snowboard and action sports industries-ranging from athlete management to sales and marketing-von Marbod brings a professional, connected, and well-rounded character to K2. Prior to joining K2, he served as global sales and marketing director at The Nidecker Group and sales director at POW Gloves. On the editorial side, von Marbod was associate publisher of TransWorld Snowboarding and publisher of Frequency: The Snowboarders Journal. In the 90s, he was a team manager and sales rep for Sims Snowboards.

Im super excited to join such a great team here at K2 and a heritage brand in the industry that has significantly helped shape the course of snowboarding, said von Marbod. Im looking forward to connecting dedicated specialty retailers with a brand committed to building performance-driven, innovative, and fun products that snowboarders love, while growing and developing our national sales program.
