Julbo, the manufacturer of mountain eyewear, announced that it will be unveiling its new collection of technical goggles at the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Winter Market.  Additionally, the company will launch a unique program – the Julbo Glen University Session – at the show.

Julbo will be located at booth #7045 at the ORWM, which will take place Jan. 19-22 in Salt Lake City, UT.

For Fall 2012, Julbo will introduce its award-winning photochromic, polarizing, anti-fogging Falcon lens as well as the extremely versatile and rapid photochromic Zebra Light lens to the new female-specific Vesta goggle. The extensive range of lens technologies displayed across the new goggle line offers anti-fogging, UV protection, glare reduction and quick photochromic transition.

The new Vesta will be Julbo’s first model to be offered with all of Julbo’s leading NXT lens technology lens options including the Falcon, and Zebra Light lenses. Taking style cues from the popular feminine Eclipse model, the sleek, feminine Vesta is paired with modern aesthetic touches and the perfect fit for smaller adult faces. Features such as helmet compatibility, superior ventilation and wide vision spectrum will ensure the Vesta to be a favorite among ripping lady skiers and riders alike. Available in Garnet, White and Black, MSRP $170-200.

In addition to the new Vesta, Julbo will also introduce the Meteor, Polar and Eris models to its Fall 2012 innovative goggle collection. Individually, the new goggles for 2012 line include:

Meteor – Similar construction to the special, limited edition Glenak model, the new Meteor is here to stay. Fundamentally designed by professional Julbo team athletes, Glen Plake and Enak Gavaggio, the Meteor features a double cylindrical lens with the polarizing and photochromic Camel lens as well as dual density soft foam and extreme adjustability for the ultimate customized fit. Available in black and sky blue, MSRP $ 170-200.

Polar- With robust color SKUS and a double spherical and polarizing lens for a maximized field of view, the new Polar is a big goggle. Big in the sense that it allows users to go big with a sophisticated look and smart functionalities. Available in blue-green, night-blue and black, MSRP $130.

Eris – An entry-level skier looking for a sensible goggle with all the proper prerequisites, should look no further than the Eris. Extremely lightweight, helmet compatible and providing the quick contrasts needed in any condition, the Eris is the perfect choice. This goggle is designed to fit smaller faces making it ideal for teens and women in particular. Available in black, white and pink, MSRP $50-60.

The new goggle models will be available to consumers in March 2012.

Also, Julbo will be unveiling new products at the show such as the Trek and Tensing, set to debut for Fall 2012.

The Tensing provides mountaineers the optical performance they need, at a price they want. The ultra-wrap profile design guarantees maximum protection against high altitude, as well as superior ventilation. The dual-injected frame strategically combines a strong outer material with a highly flexible inner design for comfort against the face. MSRP $50.

The Trek’s mission is simple: to achieve optimum performance while moving fast in extreme environments by providing highly technical, yet lightweight eyewear. For those committed to the outdoors via mountaineering, climbing and trail running, the Trek is offers a combination of technical mountaineering principles and lightweight performance ergonomics. Detachable shields block lateral rays from intense glare as well as offer superior ventilation when necessary. Julbo’s Flex Nose design and 360° adjustable temples provide optimum hold. It’s available with Spectron 4, Camel or Zebra lens options for optimal visibility and protection against intense sunlight from desert to glacier conditions, MSRP $120-200.

Finally, the company will launch its Jumbo Glen University Session (JGUS) with a “Back to School” party hosted by freestyle skier Glen Plake at Julbo’s booth #7045 on Saturday, Jan. 21 at 4:30 p.m.  The 13-month accelerated program offered through the JGUS is designed to discover the next generation of Julbo’s semi-professional ski and snowboarding athletes under the mentorship of “Professor” Plake. Graduation of the finalists will take place in Julbo’s homeland, Chamonix, France in March 2013 with part-time local resident, Plake himself, as the head guide.
