Johnson Outdoors Watercraft hired industry veteran Gregg Gunderman as its regional sales manager for northeastern and southern territories. Gunderman reports directly to Dave Duffin, director of North American sales for Johnson Outdoors Marine Electronics and Watercraft groups starting Nov. 8.


Gunderman has over a dozen years of experience, most recently as the sales and marketing manager at Bending Branches/Aqua Bound where he occupied that post for the last four and a half years. Prior to that, he was with Johnson Outdoors in sales and general management of Carlisle from 1997 to 2006.


“Gregg’s experience as well as his product and account knowledge set the stage for a speedy transition back into a role at Johnson Outdoors,” said Dave Duffin, director of N.A. sales for Johnson Outdoors Watercraft. “His addition to the team positions us to better meet needs and expectations of our customers going forward.”


Gunderman will be instrumental in developing and implementing dealer support programs as Johnson Outdoors Watercraft continues to define its class of trade sales structure. Gregg’s responsibilities will run through all brands within the Watercraft portfolio, including Necky Kayaks, Ocean Kayak, Old Town Canoes and Kayaks, Carlisle and Extrasport.


In other company news, Richard Yantha will join Johnson Outdoors Monday, Nov. 29th as sales/operations manager responsible for all Marine Electronics and Watercraft sales and marketing in Canada. Yantha, most recently a national account executive at Maurice Sporting Goods, will oversee operational activities of customer service and distribution
