Jim Marsh is the new advertising director for Canoe & Kayak magazine. He's an avid kayaker with five years experience in the outdoor industry. He comes to Canoe & Kayak from the Mountain Gazette in Colorado, where he was advertising director for two years. Prior to that he was an advertising account executive at Paddler magazine.

“Canoe & Kayak is the largest and best paddlesports magazine in the world,” Marsh said. “This is a dream opportunity for me. I'm also looking forward to the opportunity to synthesize efforts with the other Action Sports Group titles to broaden the magazine's advertising base, while continuing our commitment to the core paddlesports community.”

Marsh replaces Steve Jones, who has decided to pursue a career outside of the paddlesports industry.
Marsh will represent Canoe & Kayak at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City in August, and then move with his family from Colorado to Washington state.
