Former world No. 1 and current TV tennis analyst and Davis Cup Captain Jim Courier will be a featured guest at the inaugural Tennis Industry Association “Future of Tennis Summit,” to be held March 11-12 in Indian Wells, CA, during the BNP Paribas Open men’s and women’s pro tournament.

The Summit’s theme will be “Tennis 2020-Designing the Future Landscape of Tennis” and will include discussions and speakers that take a top-level view of the industry, define goals and benchmarks, and help to chart a path that will ensure a profitable tennis marketplace and an image of tennis attractive to both recreational tennis players and tennis fans.

Courier’s 13-year pro career included 23 ATP singles titles and 58 weeks as the world’s No. 1 player. He was a member of two winning U.S. Davis Cup teams and is one of only 15 men in the history of tennis to have reached the finals of all four Grand Slam championships. He was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2005.

Currently, Courier is a competitor on the PowerShares Series tennis circuit and an analyst on the TV broadcasts of the four Grand Slams for various networks, including CBS, Tennis Channel, ITV and Channel 7 Australia. He’s been the U.S. Davis Cup captain since 2011. In 2004 he co-founded InsideOut Sports & Entertainment, which owns and operates tennis tournaments and events worldwide, including the PowerShares Series circuit. InsideOut has produced over 50 tennis tournaments and exhibitions since inception and has a strong commitment to charity.

The Future of Tennis Summit will be at the Renaissance Esmeralda Indian Wells Resort & Spa. Additional details are available at FutureofTennis.com. To contact the TIA, email meetings@tennisindustry.org or call (843) 686-3036.
