Jambu footwear and Sahalie catalog announced the April launch of a joint B2C campaign as part of Jambu's commitment to plant more than 100,000 trees through American Forests' Global ReLeaf Program.

The 'Buy a Shoe, Plant A Tree' campaign will pledge $1.00 to American Forests for each pair of Jambu shoes purchased through Sahalie from April through July 2015.  Based in Washington D.C., American Forests is the oldest national conservation non-profit in the United States.

“For the past 10 years, Sahalie and Jambu have shared a unique eco-conscious and socially responsible consumer base who embrace outdoor living and are passionate about preserving our natural resources for the next generation,” said Yetzalee Mazza, director of marketing for Jambu, a division of Vida Shoes International, Inc. “This campaign gives consumers an opportunity to invest in fashion for a cause.”

“Jambu continues to be Sahalie's best-selling shoe brand, with customers and staff raving about the 'comfort-cute' transitional designs that pair well with Sahalie apparel, ranging from shorts and pants to skirts and dresses,” added Sahalie buyer, Lori Wilkinson.  “Sahalie's close proximity to Portland, Oregon – in one of the nation's first 'green' buildings with a forest and wildlife refuge in its backyard-also makes this partnership a natural fit as we celebrate Earth Day in April.”

Sahalie's April catalog will feature a variety of Jambu styles, including the Rosie, a Jambu exclusive sustainable design crafted with the brand's signature biodegradable outsoles and canvas uppers in natural hues and organic materials.  The styles are part of Jambu's Spring and Fall/Winter '15 lines which include cross-generational styles that nod to Mother Nature and environmental preservation.
