Jack Hillerich, chairman of Hillerich & Bradsby Co. Inc., sold his stake in the Louisville Bats minor league baseball team to other Bats partners. According to the Business First of Louisville, he's also handing off the last of his administrative duties with the Louisville Slugger parent company to his son, John Hillerich IV, president and CEO of H&B.


Financial terms of the sale of the stake  were not disclosed by the parties. The H&B chairman is also is in the process of wrapping up his formal involvement with a number of Louisville organizations.

 

John A. “Jack” Hillerich III retired as CEO and president in 2001 but continued as chairman of the board. He had been president since 1969.
