American Rec is moving its Isis women’s outdoor apparel business from its home town of Burlington, VT to Boulder, CO, where it will be managed under a newly formed apparel business to be headed by Royal Robbins President Bob Orlando.

Isis president, cofounder, and former owner Carolyn Cooke will continue working with Isis until the move to Boulder is complete. Isis employs 14 people and American Rec is investigating relocating some staff to Boulder, a company spokesman told The B.O.S.S. report.

American Rec CEO Dale Philippi praised Cooke and her team for creating “a fantastic line of women’s apparel” and said American Rec could best ensure the brands continued growth by moving it under Orlando’s new group, which will manage the Royal Robins, Sierra Designs Apparel and Isis brands. American Rec also runs its Kelty, Sierra Designs, Slumberjack, Wenger and Ultimate Direction brands out of Boulder.
