Brooks Sports is looking for an experienced International Sales Manager to drive the growth of their International business. The successful candidate will be able to develop sales and relationships with key countries by coordinating sales efforts, presentations, and general follow-up. He/she will provide sales and account feedback to VP of International, and provide product and marketing feedback to Product Development.

Additional responsibilities include managing and maximizing marketing opportunities and brand growth through coordinating all components of the international marketing program

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all sales functions with the countries to insure maximum regional sales and distribution
  • Provide sales and account feedback to VP of International
  • Monthly sales and margin forecasting
  • Review orders before they are passed to International Operations
  • Work with product development on new MTO’s
  • Communicate necessary marketing information on collateral (CD’s, images, promo materials, etc.)
  • Handle miscellaneous communication on upcoming events, product questions, apparel issues, and sample needs.
  • Communicate with distributors regarding product changes and updates
  • Internet consumer correspondence
  • Inform customers of close out and other USA sales opportunities
  • Responsible for pricing and achieving margin targets
  • Review reports for margins/pricing errors and analysis
  • Work with Distributors to formulate seasonal sales programs
  • Oversee salesmen sample ordering
  • Attend and participate in all Sales Meeting and Trade Shows
  • Manage yearly strategic planning process with VP of International

Requirements:

  1. BA degree in Sales, Business Management, Marketing, or related field required
  2. 3 – 5 years of footwear and apparel sales experience, with international sales experience preferred
  3. Specific experience in the athletic or sporting goods industry preferred
  4. Strong presentation and communication skills
  5. High level analytical and strategic thinking skills
  6. Ability to listen and understand customer needs
  7. Ability to work professionally and efficiently within the team and across departments
  8. Computer proficiency with intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  9. A passion for the running enthusiast and active lifestyle
  10. Position will require travel up to 30% of the time
