Inov-8 has hired Chris Melton as global category manager for cross training. He will also head up the distribution of its footwear and apparel for Central and South America.

Melton, from Hopkinton, MA, previously worked for Inov-8 from 2011 to 2014, as GM, Americas and head of Fitness & Training timed with its F-Lite footwear franchise.

Melton, who joins Inov-8 from Runderwear, said: “Even while with other brands following my Inov-8 days, I never stopped wearing Inov-8 product, and have still remained passionate about what Inov-8 stands for. I feel like I’m coming ‘home,’ and I couldn’t be happier to be back with the best all-round footwear brand in the world.”

Melton worked for five years at Vibram between 2014 and2019, managing its FiveFingers and Furoshiki brands in North and South America, including distribution in Australia and Japan. He also worked for Gill Marine before joining Runderwear as head of North America
