Industrial Revolution, Inc. has acquired Grilliput, makers of unique lightweight, portable grills. Industrial Revolution has been designing and manufacturing camping gear since 1971 and the company plans to expand the Grilliput line throughout 2012.

Industrial Revolution acquired the brand “because it is a neat product that we kept getting customer requests for. It is the smallest, most compact grill we have ever seen,” said Graeme Esarey, director of new product development. Currently, the Grilliput product line includes the FireBowl and the Grilliput.

The FireBowl is a collapsible container that holds charcoal or wood off the ground allowing you to build a contained fire that leaves no trace behind – not even scorch marks on the ground. The FireBowl can be used in conjunction with the Grilliput, a portable grilling rack made from top quality stainless steel for durability.

“We are extremely excited to be adding Grilliput to our family of brands,” said Industrial Revolution Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Steve Llorente. “Grilliput is a natural fit with our company and our current product lines. We look forward to developing cutting-edge, light-weight camping and backpacking grilling products to further grow this already well-known and respected brand.”
