Imperial Headwear said that since Jan. 1, 2009 the company has opened 162 new accounts, over 55 of those accounts come from the golf market alone. Imperial, based in Denver, has also performed well in the resort, corporate and tennis markets, nationally and internationally. Helping drive growth has been a new partnership with the New Era Cap Company, strong interest in eco-friendly product, and sun protection headwear have helped drive above average new account performance this year.

“We have seen significant growth in our account base throughout the start of this year,” said Rick White, CEO of Imperial Headwear. “We believe our success is directly related to our innovative products, new licenses and services, and we plan to expand upon all those things as we move forward this year.”

Imperial said it has “worked diligently the last several months to create strategic relationships with partners that see the inherent benefit of working with a company that understands its needs. The company will continue to provide services that create value for the buyer, and will be a resource to help other companies weather the challenging economic climate.”

Imperial recently acquired Washington-based Watership Trading Companie to expand its product offerings to include high performa
nce wind and sun protection hats for the outdoor and sports markets.
