Ibex Outdoor Clothing has hired Matt Kaplan as vice president of sales, effective Nov. 4, 2015.

Kaplan brings more than two decades of sales and executive management experience to Ibex, which manufactures premium technical Merino wool apparel and accessories. He joins Ibex from Kuleana, a consulting firm offering services for sales force organization, go to market strategies, key account contacts, distributor relationships, and P&L management.

Kaplan, who is pictured to the right, has held executive positions at companies including Suunto North America, Footbalance System and most recently at Timberland, where he was the director of sales-West.

As Ibex continues to expand its wholesale channel, Kaplan’s initial focus will be working to support the sales force and retailers with all the tools necessary to strengthen wholesale distribution across North America, and take the Ibex wholesale business to the next level.
