HuntStand has added Brian Murphy to its team as VP of corporate relations and strategic partnerships. Murphy served previously as CEO of the Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) for the past 23 years.

In his new role, Murphy will work closely with HuntStand’s sponsors and partners across the hunt and outdoor industry to establish strategic partnerships that impact deer and deer hunting on public and private lands. Murphy will also be responsible for providing educational content on deer hunting and management and representing HuntStand in hunter advocacy and wildlife conservation.

“As one of the leading advocates for sustainable wildlife and habitat management in the nation, Brian’s knowledge, expertise and experience will greatly enhance our team and fit perfectly into HuntStand’s mission to provide the most feature-packed and useful hunting and land management software on the market,” said Lanford Holloway, CEO of HuntStand’s parent company, TerraStride. “After working with Brian for years while he was at QDMA, we’re extremely happy to welcome him to our company.”

“It is a distinct honor for me to join the HuntStand team,” said Murphy. “As a passionate deer hunter, wildlife biologist and father of two daughters who hunt, I have dedicated my entire career to improving the quality of deer herds and hunting experiences. The HuntStand app, shown right, is the perfect modern tool to help further both of these objectives. It is simply amazing all the HuntStand app can do to improve the deer hunting and management experience. No wonder it has become the most widely used hunting app in the world. It really is a must-have tool for every deer hunter.”
