Highgear signed a three year agreement with the National Ski Patrol (NSP), the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA), and the American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI). Under this agreement, Highgear will become the exclusive official supplier for altimeters, heart-rate monitors and sports watches to these highly visible and influential organizations.

Highgear is a company very serious about the winter sports market. Not only do they offer two altimeter watch models with a ski chronograph and lap log, they supply the United States Ski and Snowboard Association with product. Highgear is also the official head gear sponsor for world-class alpine skier and Torino Gold medalist, Julia Mancuso.

“Leading up to and throughout the Games we allocated a great deal of our resources toward assisting the U.S. Ski & Snowboard teams. It was important for us to do our part in getting our best athletes to Italy,” states Highgear founder and President Mike Hosey. “With Torino behind us, it is time to revert back to a more grassroots approach. We’ll now connect with the winter sports enthusiast in a traditional way, through the daily champions, the patrollers and instructors”.

“We’re particularly proud of the long-term, mutually beneficial relationships we build with our sponsors,” said Pete Skavish, Advertising and Sponsorship Director for PSIA/AASI and NSP, “The fact that we have sponsor relationships that last decades indicates our commitment to them and theirs to us. Highgear brings much appreciated support to our members.”
