Frank Hugelmeyer, President of Outdoor Industry Association, announced the appointment of Lori Herrera as Vice President of Finance. Formerly the Vice President of Finance and Operations for Qualstar Early Learning and Educare Colorado, Herrera brings a wealth of experience in non-profits to OIA.

“We are thrilled to have someone of Lori’s caliber joining Outdoor Industry Association,” notes Hugelmeyer. “Her tremendous financial experience working with non-profits and foundations, as well as her energy and passion for the active outdoor lifestyle, make her the perfect addition to our team.”

Prior to working at Qualstar and Educare Colorado, Lori spent 13 years working in finance and administration for the Vector Companies in Colorado. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Metropolitan State College of Denver, and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Regis University. Lori Herrera will officially join OIA on August 1, 2005.

“I am very excited to join Outdoor Industry Association and continue mission driven work toward a very worthy mission with a talented and dedicated team,” comments Herrera. “I hope to continue to build on the strong fiscal foundation that my predecessor, Dawn Martinez, has laid and to become a valued strategic member of the executive team. This career move for me comes at a time when my children have just begun to really appreciate and explore the great outdoors. I believe my involvement with OIA will enhance the values and lifestyle of our family and I am proud and honored to be a member of this team.”
